Satellite Voices Worldwide: Sylvia Weber
January 3, 2012
A round robin interview with our local editors pitching questions to each other from around the globe
- Text by Satellite Voices
Meet Sylvia Weber, our Munich-based City Editor, freelance writer, stylist and co-founder of the brilliant Pale blog alongside Lea Rieck. We asked all our editors to put their questions into the proverbial hat...
Nico Castro: If you could go to any of the other seven cities in SV to spend your holidays, where would you go?
Sylvia Weber: Moscow, because in my imagination it is still a very mysterious, intimidating, romantic and exciting place – unreal like from a movie. There must be a lot to discover.
Luca Lo Pinto (Rome): Where’s the best outdoor place to have sex in your city?
Sylvia Weber: Maybe at one of the many more or less hidden spots along the river Isar, that runs through the city. Maybe even in the river at night? (It's not deep).
Fer Munizaga (Santiago): What are the best things to do on a winter Munich?
Sylvia Weber: Go ice skating or curling on the canal that is in front of the Nymphenburg palace. Go to Nachtrodeln, Tthe Alps are quite close to Munich and it is a very common evening activity to get drunk and go down the mountains on sleighs at night! It's sometimes dangerous but mad fun.
Christine Bierhals (Munich) : Who was the most inspiring person you met in your city for an interview for Satellite Voices?
Sylvia Weber: Patrick Mohr because I had many prejudices before we met at his studio for the interview, and when I left two hours later I was quite impressed by this views and opinions.
Karchun Leung (Shanghai): Any special vintage shops you like?
Sylvia Weber: Vintage love, expensive but with a great selection of designer vintage. A vintage heaven for all girls.
