BettyMü's 3D video installation lights up Munich’s Bar Corleone
- Text by Christine Bierhals
The film and design studio and artist BettyMü’s have been creating iconic, retro-futuristic video artworks for the likes of US rapper Amanda Blank and the Harry Klein Club for quite some time now, garnering attention for her signature art-meets-digital approach.
And now she's revealed her latest summer exhibition, a 3D installation on plexiglass called "REPLEX", that is showcased until the middle of August in Munich’s city center at Bar Corleone.
The artist arranged eight plexiglass panels plastered with a special foil in geometrical order in the small but lofty space. Two video projectors cast animated and non-animated pictures that are visible all over the space.
After six years living in New York as a designer and art director, BettyMü enriches Munich’s cultural life by creating art and video installations and also playing as VJ by night.
