A local spotlight on the brand new Russian fashion label celebrating feminine sensuality and sexuality
The brand Bohemique was founded in 2011 by two prominent fashion designers who don't like talking about themselves and prefer that their dresses do that instead...
SV: How did you decide to create Bohemique?
Bohemique: Each of us harboured in his mind the idea of creating a fashion brand. We met in 2009, and eventually realised that the time has come. In early 2011 we established the brand Bohemique.
SV: How would you define the brand DNA?
Bohemique: Feminine, sexy, fetish.
SV: How difficult is it to start a new fashion brand in Moscow?
Bohemique: A lot of people ask us this question. We prefer to answer this way: much easier is to complain than to overcome.
SV: Tell us about your second collection? What are you working right now?
Bohemique: When we were working on the second collection, our sources of inspiration were the frivolous and sexy Betty Page, Hitchcock’s movie "The Birds", and Catherine Deneuve in Luis Buñuel's "Belle de Jour". In our new collection we will remain true to ourselves. This is all that we can tell so far.
SV: What do you consider your biggest success is so far?
Bohemique: We often hear from the people from our entourage that Bohemique is already widely discussed.
