The third installment of the emerging artists award nominees has been unveiled
The third Moscow International Biennale for Young Art will be held in Moscow during the upcoming summer. The theme of the Biennale and the main project is Under The Sun of Tinsel. The main project of the Biennale, which includes the works of 98 artists, will be showcased at the Central House of Artists.
The Strategic project of Biennale is entitled Inconclusive Analysis, it will be hosted at two sites: the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and the National Centre for Contemporary Art. The curator of this project is Elena Selina, a prominent Russian art critic and gallery owner.
The Biennale of Young Art is one of the most ambitious international art events held in Moscow. The competition for participation in the Biennale was launched in September last year and lasted until December 2011. The selection committee received 2700 applications from artists under the age of 35 years from 77 countries worldwide.
Among the Russian artists who were selected for the Biennale there are Arseny Zhilyaev, Anna Titova, Aslan Gaysumov, and many others. Stay tuned with Satellite Voices for the series of interviews with the brightest stars of the Biennale.
