On Air Dubai: Ten Thousand Yen Selection from Mr Yeti and Doc Daneeka
Fresh from the Ten Thousand Yen camp is a sampler mix from label boss Mr Yeti, ahead of tonight's Doc Daneeka Dubai show
December 19, 2011
An exclusive December mix from the city's best leftfield electronic jam
December's mix for Satellite Voices: On Air is courtesy of the DJs behind a new left field electronic night called PRISM. Satellite Voices has been a big fan of the party, ever since the first one a few months ago - a zombie rave thrown in honour of Halloween and featuring the DJs in their blood-splattered finest. That first night was a sign of things to come, for this is one of the only nights in town that pushes musical experimentation and hosts an anything-goes dance floor. Run by the DJs Puzzl (of Gulf Records), Ian Yeti (of Ten Thousand Yen) and Essarai (of the blog D.Liberate), PRISM has managed to bring out the city's more adventurous electronic music fans.
Their next party is a Christmas special on December 23, so for those looking to escape visiting family and terrible Christmas television, we highly recommend this night. The fact that it's hosted at a dark little club in the urban wilderness of Al Barsha is just the icing on the (Christmas) cake.
Check out the PRISM Christmas Special on December 23 at Catwalk, Golden Tulip Hotel, Al Barsha, Dubai. Free entry and drinks deals all night.
