Dubai focuses on film with an ecological conscious this Holy month of Ramadan with the latest movie series to show at The Pavillion Downtown Dubai
The Pavillion Downtown Dubai continues its film series with the Abu Dhabi Film Festival throughout Ramadan this month with three films focusing on environmental issues showing next week. Co-curated by Butheina Hamed Kazim, The Environmental Series tackles subjects like ecological activism and mankind’s tenuous relationship with nature, the screenplays starting at 9pm after Iftar. The series starts next week with Spanish film Alamar (To the Sea) directed by Pedro Gonzalez Rubio showing on Sunday August 7th. The modest film tells the poetic tale of the relationship between a parent and child set against the stunning backdrop of Mexico’s Chinchorro coral reef.
