Thejamjar Gallery presents it's latest resident artist, Rebecca Rendell

  • Text by Kate Hazell

Following a three week residency at Thejamjar Gallery in Al Quoz, Dubai-based artist Rebecca Rendell opens an exhibition of new work this week titled, "The Tension of Balance".

The artist will share a collection of experiments taken place over the past three weeks in the form of sculptural installations, ideas as drawings and documents. Developing from two starting points - tension and balance, the work is informed by Rebecca's fasination with the weaving loom. The minimal and clinical execution of the abstract sculptures read as experiments in form and balance while suggesting the idea of relationships and connections between elements that could be social, environmental, political or physical, and the tension therein.

The Tension of Balance opens Monday March 19 through to April 10 @
