There is one hell of a buzz surrounding the 26-year-old artist Noah Davis at the moment, and he is certainly in good company where he lives and paints in LA. The legendary skate art hero Ed Templeton, for example, is just one of the leading artists represented by the same gallery as him. The sense of long hot summers imbues Noah’s canvases with an engaging warmth and depth of tone, and all of his works could just as easily be set in Louisiana as in his hometown, with the absence of any specific time and place making room for an exotic use of colour.

David David may have taken his distinct graphic prints to more evolved designs in recent seasons but with this T001 collection, he returns to his roots with a range of classic t-shirts, vests and dresses in soft jersey cotton. The all-over brush stroke prints are a reminder of a time when David Saunders would paint each piece individually. The collection was also shot in Saunders' studio where he lives and work where we might be treated to a cuppa or two and so we quickly quizzed him about his take on tees and tea.

Bad Penny Blues is former Sounds music journalist Cathi Unsworth’s third novel, in which she returns the reader to a forgotten era of west London, where the crumbling post-war British Imperialism of the 1950s is giving way to the relativism of the 60s. At the centre of it is the infamous Jack The Stripper murders, based on the real and unsolved case of a believed serial killer that took the lives of at least six prostitutes without ever being caught. Dazed caught up with Cathi to talk sex, violence and whether evil is as old as her subject matter.

The last time 5preview’s Emeli spoke to Dazed Digital, the brand’s T-shirts had just started to invade the world’s shop windows. Since then the brand evolved, launched further designs, developed an accessory line and set higher goals to achieve, that is a magazine entitled 5-piece-paper and a photographic exhibition related to it that will open at New York’s Inven.tory next week. It looks like the number 5 has genuinely turned into a lucky and inspirational talisman for this young brand.

Having released a tantalizing array of teasers at the end of 2009, adidas managed to set tongues wagging and fingers hovering over the buy now button ahead of the launch of their range of Starwars inspired clothing and footwear.
