Esiri Erheriene-Essi
I'm a 24 year old Leo who paints and draws all the time, listens to bad-ass music, reads Nietzsche a lot and would never say no to a pint of Guinness.
I graduated from the University of East London in Nov 2006 and now hold a diploma in master of fine arts. Ha! I managed to fool them all - an amateur allowed through the door - hehehe. My work is about casual observations and channelling Baudelaire's spirit of the flaneur using biro, charcoal and oil paints.
I try to record as much of the human condition that makes itself available to me, as truly as I see it, in whatever situation or milieu I find myself. My chosen Realist 'modus operandi' is not entirely objective because I do have wry affection for my subjects and observations.

Q & A
What's...
...so special about you, then?
Well I'm special cos I like other peoples vomit - but only for art purposes mind, I'm not one of those sick puke fetish enthusiasts (if they even exist).
Cigarettes, music and peach tea.
...better - analog or digital?
Well analog is pretty cool but you have to embrace the digital times so I'll have to go with both.
...your favourite piece of clothing?
My tatty ripped Urkel shirt that gives me super hero powers when worn and my battered pair of converses I bought in Germany yonks ago that are held together with duck tape and are splattered in paint. Very good conversation starter on the tube I've found...
...the best piece of advice you've heard?
Don't wear yourself down, working for people who don't recognize your effort!
...'an end in 2065' well that's according to a local messiah/ginger Rasta that frequents the no.47 bus every Wednesday, and since I can't think up anything super intelligent I'll have to steal from him instead. Don't think bad of me...
I'm pretty sad really - I haven't got one. Though I'd like to set one up in the future to recruit folk for my lady arty vomit cult/movement so watch this space.
...the name of your hero?
I've got 2 - my Mama and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
...so great about your hero?
Well my Mama is a badass and so was Basquiat, also both pushed me into this arty farty direction.
...next year going to bring?
Lots of smoking grass, staring at neon signs and surprises. I'm moving to Amsterdam to become a 'proper' painter for 2 years and to be close to the wonder that is Van Gogh museum.
...your worst fashion secret?
My 'distressed' all-in-one long johns which my friends liken to a baby grow - but they haven't got greatest of fashion tastes.
How would you describe your work?
Badass arty vomit with a sprinkle of toilet humour and no structure.
