When I first heard the song, the very first thing that came to my mind was heroin, or music for heroin users. From this on I started working on a story about addiction and letting go. A man doesn't necessarily have to be hooked up on heroin in order to be an addict: it suffices to be so addicted to a woman that a break up would seem unthinkable; even apart they're together.
