For the first year ever, the Radar Awards are letting the public vote on who should win the prize of £1,000 post-production services for the best new music video talent. This year, aspiring directors have been working with tracks from bands including Kylie Minogue, Maximo Park, Just Jack, Richard Hawley, Maps, and The Good, The Bad and the Queen. Exclusively here on Dazed Digital you can see the best entries for each track plus some notable extra videos, as hand-picked by the labels and production companies supporting Radar. Pick your favourites from among these weird, poetic, gripping and beautiful videos.
Through their relationships with record labels, production companies, brands and media, Radar creates professional opportunities for emerging music video filmmakers worldwide. They’ll be announcing the winner of the popular vote prize, sponsored by Abbey Road, at the Radar Awards in January, which are held as part of the London Short Film Festival. The voting has now closed, and the winner will be announced at the Radar Awards on Saturday.
