THE WINNING ENTRY
Dazed spoke to Sander van der Poort & Ilana Ifrah about the inspiration behind their winning entry.
Where did you get the idea from and what is it about?
We took off with the name of the campaign ‘live unbuttoned’ which inspired us to make three steps;
1. Liberate yourself
2. Unbutton your jeans
3. Be rebellious; kick your buttons!
To visualize our idea we choose to stay as close to the brand and it’s product as possible, just
working with a pair of 501 jeans and loads of buttons.
We tried to embody the dynamic lifestyle that Levi represents in a simple but powerful way.
How do you feel to have won?
Off course we are very happy to have won this design competition and we are sure this is going to be
a fantastic experience. This competition is a great opportunity for young designers to get a kick start
in their career and to be seen by a wider audience. We hope that the storefront will draw a lot of
attention.

What is it like to be working with Dazed and Levi's?
We cannot really answer this question yet, because the cooperation just started, but we are sure
that it will be a wonderful experience to work with two well renowned names in the creative
business.
Where do you want to go with it in the future?
Both of us are (interior)designers. We love to keep up the good work by making beautiful and
innovative designs for both the commercial as well as the private market.
Fashion stores are a challenge for us because of their strong connection with branding, fashion
design and communication with the public. We hope that working with Levi's might create an
opportunity for further cooperation in the future!
