TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE WEB COMPETITION "DAZED RAW BLOG AWARDS in association with G-STAR RAW"

The Competition
1. The Competition Promoters are G-Star International BV and Waddell Limited, trading as Dazed and Confused (altogether, the "Promoter"). The Competition comprises an opportunity for Entrants to be awarded with status, recognition and an increase in profile in the Dazed & Confused website, as well as being the subjects of editorials at the "Dazed & Confused" printed magazine (published by Dazed). The winners (4) will be selected by popular vote among the best 60 valid entries. All entries must be received by the Promoter between 20 June 2009 and 31 July 2009 before midnight. Restricted to one entry per person. No purchase is necessary to enter. One prize per Entrant.

Eligibility

2. The Competition is open to all individuals except employees of the Promoter, any of its subsidiaries, agents or any other business involved with the administration of this Competition, or members of the households of such employees.

3. Entrants under the age of 18 must obtain parental consent before entering.

The Competition

4. To participate in the Competition, Entrants must log on to the Competition website at www.DazedDigital.com, fill in all of the mandatory fields on the registration form and accept these Terms and Conditions by clicking on "OK". Then Entrants must submit blog entries during the term of this Competition under one of the following four categories: Fashion, Music, Photography or Arts & Culture. Entrants can only blog in one of the four categories. All blog Entries will be screened by the Promoter in order to ensure compliance with these terms and Conditions. If approved, blog Entries will be posted on the website. The Promoter will select the best 15 blog Entries per category (so a total of 60 blog Entries) and submit these to public voting. Blog Entries that receive the best ratings from public vote will receive the prize. Entries remain the property of the Promoter and will not be returned to Entrants. Promoter shall own all copyright, title and ownership over the Entries once uploaded to the website. The Promoter shall publish the winner on the website.

5. All blog Entries must comply with the following requirements and criteria (to be evaluated at the absolute reasonable discretion of the Promoter): a. they must be original, novel, and created by the Entrants themselves. Blog Entries which include copyrighted material for which Entrant has no license or authorization will be immediately disqualified upon receipt by Promoter of any notice of any third party claiming copyright over part(s) or the totality of the Entry, including without limitation images, music, animations, sound, text, pictures. b. Blog Entries must be clean, fun and maintain respect for viewers and the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to remove and cancel any blog Entry that does not comply with these terms, including among others Entries with sexual, distasteful, discriminatory, hate-speech or aggressive content. c. All blog Entries must comply with www.DazedDigital.com terms and conditions of use.

6. Except in the event of negligence, fault or deliberate acts or omissions on the part of the Promoter or its agents, the Promoter does not accept responsibility for any entries lost, damaged, corrupted, delayed, quarantined, or not received by the Promoter, for whatever reason; and the Promoter shall not be held responsible for any technical, hardware, software, server, website, or other, failures or damage of any kind.

The Prize

7. The winners will be awarded with status, recognition and an increase in profile in the website, as well as being the subjects of editorials at the "Dazed & Confused" printed magazine (published by Dazed). This will allow winners to increase their visibility and status in the blogger community and open the doors for future collaboration and cooperation projects. The unit value of the prize is undetermined and has no monetary value. No cash alternative will be available. The prize is not transferable. No additional prizes will be available. Winners

8. Winners will be selected from all valid entries received by the Promoter. Winners will be selected from Entrants who have uploaded blog Entries to the website in one of the four categories and received the highest popular vote among the best 15 blogs per category (Fashion, Music, Photography and Arts & Culture). There will be one winner per category (so a total of 4 winners). The Promoter will select the best 15 blogs per category based on inventiveness, originality, artistic value, quality and submit these to popular vote. Entries remain the property of the Promoter and will not be returned to Entrants. Winners will be announced on the website.

9. Judging of entries and selection of winner will take place before 30 September 2009. Winners will be notified by email, at the earliest convenience within 7 days following the selection of the winners. In the event that a winner does not wish to accept the prize they must advise the Promoter within 14 days after receiving notification of having won. If a winner rejects the prize they will forfeit the prize and no substitute or alternative will be available. In the event that, due to the acts or omissions of winner, the Promoter is unable to deliver the prize to the winner, said winner will forfeit the prize and no substitute or alternative will be available.

10. Winner may be required to participate in advertising or promotional activity for the Promoter, without any financial compensation. In addition, the Promoter shall have the right, at its absolute discretion and without financially compensating or requesting permission from the winner, to use the winner's name, region of residence or photo for the purposes of announcing the winner of the Competition and for related promotional purposes.

Terms and Conditions

11. The Competition Terms and Conditions can be sent free of charge to anyone making a request in writing to the Promoter's address below, and are also available on the Internet at the following address www.dazedDigital.com.

12. Entrants who do not comply with these Terms and Conditions or who submit entries which are incomplete, incorrect, or fraudulent, will not be eligible to enter the Competition. By submitting an entry, Entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

13. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or to terminate the Competition at any time, providing sufficient information as soon as reasonably practicable, and in the event of an obvious error or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter that prevents the Competition from being conducted. The promoter accepts no liability for any form of loss or disappointment resulting from such amendment(s) / termination. In such circumstances the promoter will make all reasonable endeavors to advise Entrants of any changes or termination.

14. Correspondence regarding the Competition will be entered into only at the absolute discretion of the Promoter. All enquiries regarding the Competition should be sent to the Promoter's address, indicated at the end of these Terms and Conditions.

Personal Data

15. By entering the Competition, Entrants consent to the Promoter and its respective agents, associated companies, and subsidiaries storing and processing their personal data for the purposes of: organizing this Competition; conducting an analysis of the Competition's effectiveness and response rate; and for conducting a market and quality control analysis. Such processing will include the transfer of Entrants? data from their country of residence to the Promoter's agents in the European Union.

16. The Promoter and its respective agents, associated companies, and subsidiaries, may wish to retain the Entrants' data in order to contact entrants, by any means of communication, and to advise them of future promotions; the promoter's products; or for market or quality control analysis purposes. If entrants wish to receive such contact they must tick the appropriate box on the website's entry form.

17. By participating in the Competition all Entrants give their express consent to the processing and use of their personal data.

18. In pursuance of the applicable data protection regulations Entrants shall be informed of their right to oppose the computerized processing of their personal data and their right to access, modify or indeed delete such personal data, where such rights can be exercised via the Promoter, at the address provided below.

19. The names and general location of the winner and a copy of the winning blog Entries will be published by the Promoter on the website and will be sent to anyone who writes to the Promoter at the address set out at the end of these Terms and Conditions requesting such information. This request must be received within two months following the closing date of the Competition and must enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope. By entering the Competition, Entrants agree to such disclosure of their name.

20. This promotion is subject to the laws of the United Kingdom. Any dispute or interpretation regarding these Terms and Conditions will be decided by the English courts.
