Blog Awards G-Star

S.ensoie

I discovered new Parisian label S.ensoie at Bread & Butter, tucked away amidst all the urban wear, glittering diamentes and deep tans. Refined and elegant, S.ensoie pride themselves on suprior quality, as all their peieces are made from pure silk. I fell in love with the draped detailing, cut-outs and mesmerising colour of this pink dress (which I tried to pawn my camera for), and this luxrious silk denim look and mesh jacket.

G-Star Organics

This season G-Star have dedicated a whole programme to eco-fashion, using only organic cotton to produce 'handcrafted' pieces. The range is quite wearble, and the mens drop crotch jeans look great- with more of an urban basketball feel, a distinct depature from traditionally favoured harem bohemianism.

Lala Berlin

Lala Berlin designer, Leyla Piedayesh is a material girl. Well, not so much in the sense Madonna was talking about... but more in the sense of working with fabrics to creating a wonderfully light and airy spring/summer collection. This collletion was loaded with details, aysemmetric cuts, sheers, zippers, shimmery gold... and when you see the models fluttering down the runway, you think to yourself, 'This is something I can wear, right now.' Seriously.

Zana Bayne

As temperatures rise here in the muggy Berlin summers, being stylish is no small feat. Seriously, at this point I myself am in a 'I just don't care' mindset more suitable for a holiday in the tropics than at Berlin Fashion Week. Multi-talented blogger/photographer/stylist/artist/designer/dj Zana Bayne put together an amazing outfit, simple tank, an Anne Sofie Back shirt dress transformed into a skirt and Jill Sander pointy wedges with laddered tights.

Ayzit Bostan

I have a friend who collects bags from fashion shows. At first I thought he did it to have glamourous grocery bags, but after seeing the shimmery gold bags toted around by the press at Berlin Fashion Week, I can see why someone would collect these yummy bags. Even more so, I was so delighted to see that one of my favorite German designers, Munich based, Ayzit Bostan had made these in collaboration with BREE. Last night, we attended her reception where she typically displays her collections like art installations, and this was no exception. Each plain white box on a pedestal contained accessories and bags. Her dress, which she made special for the evening is a preview of the new clothing collection which is coming later this year.
