Okay, his real name is Christopher Noth
Since former actress and activist Cynthia Nixon announced she was running for governor of New York on March 19, 2018, she has received donations from many of her former Sex and the City co-stars, including Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis. Now Christopher Noth – or, as he’s more commonly known, Sex and the City’s Mr Big – has joined the party, donating $2,500 to Nixon’s campaign, according to the New York Daily News (h/t The Cut). Other actors from the show, David Eigenberg and Lynn Cohen, have also pitched in.
Even without the Sex and the City crew, though, Nixon has found huge support in liberal-leaning Hollywood. Alec Baldwin has donated $16,000 to her campaign, while Susan Sarandon and Lena Dunham have each pitched in with $10,000. All in all, she’s reportedly raised over $16 million since her declared her challenge to the incumbent governor, Andrew Cuomo.
These donations are part of Nixon’s attempt to create a campaign “powered by the people” and not be “bought or paid for” by corporations, as she explained earlier this year. She’s seeking to legalise weed, fight for abortion rights, and fix the NYC subway. We always knew it was coolest to be the Miranda.
