Nobuyoshi Araki has been one of the most polarising forces in contemporary photography for decades. Most recently, his controversial Kinbaku bondage series sparked a storm of fetishised looks on the catwalk, with Simone Rocha's SS14 collection drawing heavily on the Japanese photographer's love of eroticism and power-play. Now we have an exclusive first look at two new limited edition platinum prints. Available exclusively through Michael Hoppen Contemporary the prints draw on the visual tropes of his most recent book It Was Once a Paradise. The prints are classic Araki, featuring unsettling nude doll figurines and his signature, sexually-charged orchids. "Paradise Black" and "Paradise White" may be less erotically charged than some of Araki's most notorious works, but certainly no less compelling.
