I'm new to Instagram, I didn't really understand its appeal until I started using a few weeks ago, since then I have become obsessed, uploading pictures incessantly. It's become almost like a game for me, many bus journeys and walks have been spent agonising over filter choices. I quickly discovered Instagram is about telling little stories, making seemingly normal moments dramatic or whimsical or sad depending on how I use the tools provided. Most of my choices here are quite dark, half are some things I've seen recently, some of it is me having fun taking pictures of my work in the studio, most of the pictures became quite foreboding once I'd finished tinkering with them, maybe this is a revealing insight into my damaged psyche, maybe I'm just using the Sutro filter too much...
