Constriction. Limitation. Constraint. We go through life unaware of the daily restrictions created by our clothing. The girls of the Moving Visions group, a dance and visual arts class from the Islington Arts Factory, explored how it affects the way we move and its boundaries. The following images document how they customised and re-examined the materials that cover our bodies in ways an adult could never dream of. They were free to wear clothes irrespective of their intended unction and form. Free to create movements that reflected the shapes of their outfits. It is a vision of imaginations unadulterated and unrestrained.
