Not Joker or Pinch, but the other Bristol dubstep crew smashing it right now are the Punch Drunk imprint, with label boss Peverelist dropping his album Jarvik Mindstate for further adventures into bouncy, techno-y dub. At 21-years-old, Guido is one of Punch Drunk’s young guns and has just released the epic, spluttering ballad, Beautiful Complication featuring Aaryaa. Playing alongside the LuckyMe crew for Dazed faves Numbers Vs Ballers Social Club on New Years Eve at Stereo up in Glasgow (raise your glasses), Guido’s 2-step bounce manages, in the words of Ballers’ Joe Coghill, “to convey emotion and colour in electronic music. And that’s a rarity!”
