Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm and Zune are available through the Xbox 360 from today, opening up a world of new ways to access music and movies, where you will also be able to share playlists and images via Facebook, and at the same time keep up with all the latest happenings on Dazed Digital through its new Twitter function. Paloma Faith and R’n’B star Taio Cruz teamed up at the London launch for the new features last night, and a short film of the two stars discussing their musical influences was made available to demonstrate the newly added social channels.

With Last.fm you’ll be able to create your perfect radio station by “skipping,”’ “banning”, or “loving” songs, and tailored “Gamer stations” will host playlists created specifically for the gaming community. Ryan Regan, from Last.fm said, “With the ability to discover music and explore endless personalised stations, music fans can turn their game console into the ultimate living room entertainment centerpiece.”

Zune also brings high fidelity video with instant HD to directly to your Xbox so you can watch movies without waiting for them to buffer. Meanwhile, the new Facebook function means you can take screengrabs of the game you're playing, and upload them directly to Facebook.
