The second competition from Seriously Social ending in the next few days will be mentored by Johnno Burgess from Bugged Out!, inviting the public from budding party planners, club promoters and revellers to suggest their ultimate dream party manifesto via Facebook. The winner will receive a chance to spend £30,000 on making their most imaginative party a reality, with the help of a skilled production team to put it together. If you've ever dreamed of putting on a space-themed roller-disco in a manor, or having a 24-hour rave in a GP's clinic with horrible pounding techno with endless champagne spewing from a fountain, whatever you're thinking, just throw it into the form on their site before 22nd November for your chance to win.
The first Seriously Social competition culminated in an authentic 1920s party for £25,000 from 58,000 votes involving a lavish feast, burlesque performers including Vicky Butterfly, comedy from the Bearded Kitten Crew and live bands at the opulent No. 5 Cavendish Square.

Johnno Burgess, DJ, freelance journalist, and promoter from Bugged Out! has helped run one of the longest-standing and most well respected nights in the UK. Their regular club nights, gigs and festivals have seen the likes of Daft Punk, the Chemical Brothers, Tiga, Justice to Boys Noize and gave Erol Alkan his first residency. We had a quick chat with him to see what he would do if he had a million pounds to throw a party...

Dazed Digital: What do you think makes you the best candidate for the mentor for this project?
Johnno: I think, probably because I've had over 15 years experience in promoting, from small-scale parties with like 100 people to like festivals with thousands; I've also been involved in all kinds of things like cutting-edge techno nights to silly little pop parties so I've done quite broad range as well.

DD: Why did you want to get involved with this project then?
Johnno: I think because I've been a journalist as well for a long time and one of the questions I used to ask a lot of DJs was "if you had the money, what would you put on"... as their dream line-ups, so it's a common question I asked so it appealed to me.

DD: What kind of ideas do you expect people will come up with?
Johnno: I'm not sure, what I'm really hoping for is to be surprised, because so many things have been done before, I want to see something like wow, that's a really creative use of the money. Not just like hiring a warehouse and spending a lot of money on a really expensive DJ, which has obviously been done so many times before.

DD: If you had the chance to throw a million pound party, what would you do?
Johnno: If I had a million pounds I would hire a 500 capacity club, invite all my friends and get Prince to play a three hour set (so long as I could choose the set list!) and have the Disco Bloodbath DJs on before and after him. There would also be some trained monkeys in there too somewhere serving up drinks.

The top 25 ideas will be chosen by our mentor and panel of judges, and the winning shortlist will then go to a public vote on Facebook to find the ultimate seriously social party. The competition ends on the 22nd of November.
