Bumblebeez in London

Published 31 months ago

The Australian rockers get busy with the Sharpies at the GoodHood gallery.

Last night Aussie hip-hop rockers Bumblebeez launched an exhibition of album artwork, T-shirts and record sleeves at the GoodHood Gallery in East London.

Bumblebeez' main man Chris Colonna studied at the Pratt Institute in New York. Having previously worked on installations including sound pieces and installations that involved walking into a darkened room to then be pummelled by a tennis ball machine and gabba, viewers may have been expecting a little GBH, but instead were treated to some love, with a free Bumblebeez t-shirt featuring a trompe l'oeil giant telephone necklace as sported in the video for "Dr. Love".

Other artworks were taken from the collaged, ADD-influenced Bumblebeez record sleeves, also designed by Chris.

The exhibition continues til the 30th March at the GoodHood Gallery on 41 Coronet St, Hoxton, London.
