Brighton musician and Cold Pumas member Dan Reeves after spending time in solitude down by the sea has found a new sound with his solo project - The Soft Walls. Whilst moving through new sonic terrains via psychedelic folk to more ambient sounds, he manages to retain his influences from lo-fi garage and krautrock with a new electronic vision in his debut self-titled LP. Previously released as a limited edition cassette on Suplex, Reeves' new LP will be out on vinyl limited to 100 copies, and digitally via cult label Tough Love (CYMBALS, Slime, Weird Dreams).
Besides his own productions and band involvement, Reeves founded the label Faux Discx, where they've been releasing bands like Male Bonding, Hookworms and Sauna Youth, establishing themselves as one of Brighton's most influential independent record labels for DIY garage sounds.
The self-titled debut album from The Soft Walls will be released on Tough Love on 3rd December. Pre-order the LP here.
