From the gutter clubs to the ghetto gleaming charts, Washington DC DJ and producer Jesse Tittsworth is taking the rough neck Baltimore Club sound overground with banging official remixes for Kanye West and Beyonce’s sassy sis, Solange. His debut album “Twelve Steps” was released earlier this year, aimed to evolve the DIY blog house B-More sound with guests including everyone’s favourite rap starlet Kid Sister, Pase Rock, Nina Sky and even the old school ghettotech pioneer DJ Assault (of “Ass N Titties” fame). Currently touring the US, Tittsworth has given us a stream of his remix of Solange’s US number one Motown-indebted soul swinger “I Decided”. Unfortunately the bigwig powers at Interscope (and rumours have it, Black Eyed Peas’s Will.I.Am.) have big plans for this track, so we can’t give it away as a free download just yet…

Q&A

Whats...
...so special about you, then?

”Popeyes Chicken” (specifically spicy thighs with honey and hot sauce).

...the best piece of advice you've heard?
Don’t fry bacon in the nude.

...better, analogue or digital?
Combination of both.

...your favourite piece of clothing?
Lately, it’s been skinny jeans. It’s like what Eddie Murphy said in the “Nutty Professor”. You lose a few pounds and all of a sudden, ‘everything spandex!’

...the name of your hero?
Popeye, and whoever invented chicken and waffles.

...so special about your hero?
*pinches fat on spare tire.* Plus he’s open ‘til midnight and available by drive-thru.

I don’t wear underwear. Oh, and sometimes I have to slit my socks at the ankle because I have fat feet.

...next year going to bring?
Maybe, a new hometown.

...your favourite website?
Metacritic.com and Chowhound.com.

...at the top of your shit list?
People that wear Crocs.

A very close second to working at Popeyes.
