The past couple of years have seen two phenomena becoming inescapable: excellent Hotflush releases and talented Scottish electronic producers and DJs. Beaumont is the latest in a long list of Scotsmen with enviable talent, and he’s already managed to impress with only a handful of releases to his name. His Blush Response EP of 2011 was a piece of mesmeric, R’n’B tinged work with the brilliant ‘Midnight’ sitting squarely on the border between full on cheesy and absolutely filthy.

More recently, his Hotflush release 'Never Love Me' showed Beaumont at his sparkling, effervescent best. The three track release featured synths so bathed in the glow of the 1980s that you could practically touch the pastel-coloured shoulder pads, but reworked them with enough 21st century dexterity that your head nodded along regardless.
