Metabeats and Don Leisure are Darkhouse Fam, two emerging producers helping spearhead Wales’s mighty underground electronic music scene that criss crosses from future garage (like the bumpy CRST who Darkhouse Fam are also members of) to dark, surreal hip hop, house and dubstep.

Alongside the premiere of the behind-the-scenes music video for their UK vanguard EP 'In & Out', released on music and art label Earnest Endeavours, Darkhouse Fam have given us their Top 5 rundown of the hottest Welsh producers you need to check out for 2012.

Shot on location in and around Cardiff, the In & Out video follows portrait photographer Jasper Clarke (a finalist of the Taylor Wessing Award at the National Portrait Gallery) documenting the duo with insights about the burgeoning homegrown scene and legendary Cardiff music spots.

We’ve also got the premiere of Darkhouse Fam’s Frosted Flakes that appears on the new pay-what-you-want Earnest Endeavours compilation Our Nest Volume 1 out today.

1. Vanity Jay. Just check her vocals on Sticky Trees off of our EP and you'll hear what's up. She is gonna be featured on a new Metabeats track Passport too and is gonna be big.

2. Slymoove. Known to most as Hekla Kosh. This guy has quietly been stacking some twisted beats across an array of styles and is going to cause some neck snapping waves soon. Check out his Ruff Sex with Robots beat tape.

3. Mr. Healan. Crazy nutso electronic beats with strong funk touches. He’s had tracks featured on the Finest Ego Europe compilation with full DJ support from Kutmah.

4. Monky & Stagga. Criminally overlooked producers whose tracks have graced the bags of Gaslamp Killer, Pinch, Illum Sphere and more. Monky’s Drunkerdz on Brownswood Electr*c 2 and Stagga’s Wild For The Night Doshy remix is hot shit.

5. Organ Grinder. Organ grinder brings cutting edge house vibes but with hard 90s flavour and his tracks are getting bumped by the likes of Jackmaster. I Don’t Love You featuring Jessy Allen is one to look out for on Catapult records. Jessy Allen is gonna be massive too, she just toured as a live PA with High Contrast and is featured on his new LP.
