Role Summary

The Instagram Editor will take ownership of publishing on Dazed main Instagram account. Working alongside the Head of Social Media and key members of the Dazed editorial team, the Instagram Editor will be responsible for posting to a set frequency target, audience growth and continued innovation in social storytelling.

Duties, responsibilities & deliverables

  • Manage Instagram publishing on Dazed’s main Instagram account
  • Monitor and respond to Dazed community content for regramming and reactive purposes
  • Develop a reactive tone of voice with Dazed Instagram Editor  
  • Engage with audience across Instagram from the Dazed Main account on a daily basis
  • Plan content in advance to be reactive in relation to the cultural calendar
  • Develop Instagram specific strategies to maximise audience growth and engagement against KPIs set from Head of Digital
  • Understand Dazed’s daily digital publishing frequency and work with editors to ensure posts are timely
  • Monitor and respond to analytics in real time, feeding back information to the relevant editor
  • Schedule posts to ensure a 24 hour content flow
  • Work with editorial team on responsive snackable Instagram Stories posts, constantly improving and building output according to data and new Instagram features
  • Ensure all social first formats are successfully rolled out and, working with Data Manager, report back on monthly format performance to feed into the overall strategy
  • Post all commercial content against deadlines and deliverables set from sales team
  • Remain informed of any technological developments on Instagram and consider within the framework of new ways to communicate stories on the platform
  • Report on your platform’s performance and upcoming strategies at weekly team meetings
  • Advise and assist the Junior Digital Media Designer on creation of social assets
  • Drive continual innovation to maximise potential on the platform
  • Monitor and respond to analytics in real time, feeding back information to the relevant editor
  • Track competitors and be aware of market changes
  • Develop and maintain marketing relationships alongside Social Media Coordinator
  • Occasional on-location Instagram reporting for events, commercial projects or fashion weeks
