Dazed Media are hiring for two editorial directors (maternity and freelance contract), leading editorial, ideation and strategy on luxury and fashion focused commercial projects for Dazed Media Studio

About the role: 

Role: Editorial Director, Dazed Media Studio (2 roles: maternity and freelance contract)Reporting to: Managing Director 

Duties, responsibilities & deliverables

•Act as lead editorial creative on Dazed Media Studio projects leading ideation and strategy on luxury and fashion focused projects 
•Partnering with our commercial, creative and project management teams, you will take a lead role on creative ideation, sell-in, management, delivery and review of creative commercial projects
•Collaborate effectively with internal team members (editorial to commercial) to respond to the client brief, develop clear project goals/KPIs, devise strategy based on insight, generate compelling editorial strategies outlined in engaging pitch documents supported by realistic and profitable timelines and budgets
•Oversee digital content for multiple activation projects spanning film (from campaign to social), editorial initiatives and influencer collaborations
•Become a brand expert, developing creative and commercial brand strategy to drive growth, increase profitability and increase brand awareness across all properties
•Define editorial story; develop tone of voice and campaign messaging
•Deliver exceptional and innovative content, talent and activation propositions, whilst maintaining brand integrity
•Manage junior editors 
•Commission, write, proofread and sub copy when required
•Work closely and develop relationships with all teams across Dazed Media
•Stay up to date with commercial, social and luxury industry news
•Develop and grow a network of creative contacts 
•Attend client meetings and liaise directly with clients when required; act as an ambassador for Dazed Media Studio

Skills, experience & personal attributes:

•Extensive editorial, social, strategic and commercial experience
•An innovative thinker
•At least 2 years of staff management experience
•Excellent writing, subbing and editing skills
•In-depth knowledge of the Dazed Media brand (tone of voice, aesthetic and relevant talent)
•Broad range of cultural interests across fashion, art and culture; strong understanding of compelling youth culture stories, as well as fashion, retail and beauty industries
•Passionate about content, digital storytelling and social distribution
•Eager to respond quickly and comprehensively to briefs and client requests
•Ability to devise and develop efficient and effective processes to manage varying workloads and time pressures
•Confident working independently and productively as a member of a collaborative team
•Proven ability to work quickly and efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail
•Full of energy and enthusiasm and eager to work in a face-paced environment
