AARON LACRATE AT THE DAZED GALLERY

Posted on: 24th April 2008 | Posted by: Ned Beauman

Aaron LaCrate grew up DJing loft parties and tagging walls in east Baltimore, and in recent years, as a DJ and as the founder of Milkcrate Records, he's helped to bring Baltimore club music to the wider world. Now he's hitting the Dazed gallery with Bodymore Murdaland, an exhibition of his never-before-seen Baltimore street photography, which he created as a visual companion to the Gutter sound.

The exhibition will launch on Thursday 1st May at the Dazed Gallery, 112-116 Old Street, London, between 7 and 9pm, hosted by Aaron and sponsored by Tiger Beer. Get down to the gallery early to collect a stamp which will get you free access to Plastic People on Curtain Road, where Aaron, Mark Ronson, Seb Chew and new Baltimore talent Verb! will be DJing for Dazed friends and family. (But also remember to vote.) Click here for the flyer, or click here to download an MP3 of "Verb Meets Ronson freestyle".
