Emilio Pucci Womenswear S/S11

1970s suede flares and classic Pucci tunic prints characterised Peter Dundas' latest show

While Jil Sander’s show felt more like a meditation on Raf Simons’s beautiful and austere vision, Emilio Pucci’s Peter Dundas went for an altogether different mood, choosing to stream his show live, complete with a presenter and a Kylie Minogue guest appearance. Not that the high technology mattered as much as the clothes, which in this case really did shine.

Pondering upon summer 2011, Dundas went back to Pucci’s signature print and translated it into swirly lines in shades of lilac, brown and grey. There was a nod to the 1970s in the suede flares and ruffled tunics, which came accessoried with over the knee lace-up boots and tassled scarves. It was, however, the collection’s finale and its black cascading chiffon and lace numbers that really demonstrated Dundas’s penchant for dark glamour.
