English roses were in full bloom at the duo's playful collection of floral motifs in ode to romance

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce are renown for their playful use of corsetry and floral motif, and for their latest collection for D & G they once again delved into their favourite theme: the English garden. Delicate rose prints were emblazoned on pinafore dresses, jumpsuits and off-the-shoulder tops, with printed headcarves and large canvas totes topping off the silhouette. The feminine look was later shaken up by techno accents such as PVC bloomers or a windbreaker with a rose pattern. However, it was a series of floaty chiffon dresses with floral prints at the show’s finale, which reaffirmed that it’s romance – not eccentricity – that’s really exciting D & G this summer.
