It's a cocktail party for Posen.
Amidst shaky concerns over Zac Posen's financial positioning, it seems fun and frivolity is being restrained somewhat. Posen's penchant for the flirty showed in this collection's distinct lack of Oscar-worthy gowns. That said, the flirt lives on in the separates and array of cocktail dresses instead in autumnal tones that evoke 70s sepia tones which then ended in a burst of red, for those that like to be a Valentine everyday. The short skater skirt is key to the collection as well as the use of sumptuous fabrics like coloured gradiated furs, velvet, satin and brocade.
