Jean-Paul Gaultier Menswear S/S12

Published 7 months ago

The 'showroom'-based catwalk show was witness to playful island prints and tartans from the French designer

Presented against a backdrop of spotlights and makeshift scaffolding, the S/S12 show for Jean Paul Gaultier was held in a 'showroom' of bustling models in full view of the audience in open seating. Bringing out an array of rich graphic prints on bomber jackets, shirts and culottes, whilst the rest of the new collection retained a distinctly summery feel amongst more casual loose grey blazers as well as drape tuxedo shirts. Prints in reworked checks and tartan were contrasted by more colourful Hawaii print trousers, quirky colourful animated bombers and summer shorts giving a wholly laidback feel.
