MaxMara has become a go-to label for impeccably cut coats and soft knitwear, but this season, the Italian brand has also proved its knack for fur and leather. A cavalcade of knee-length coats opened the show – some featuring hidden buttons, others discreetly buckled on the hip. There were Scottish touches in the use of kilts, which were wrapped around the models as fringed coats or strapless dresses. Fur was also prominent in the show, appearing mainly as collars and panels, which brought a luxurious twist to the sportswear-inspired jackets.
