Bernhard Willhelm presented his new collection in a spectacle at the fabulous Hotel Salomon de Rothschild in Paris last week where the models posed on bicycles and leaped about carrying giant umbrellas draped in chiffon. Sportswear pieces in graphic prints were mixed with a healthy dose of fetish such as the skin-tight top on a model who held up an image of a woman dressed in matching sex gear or an all-in-one superhero outfit with fake body armor and a Speedo-style swim suit with go-faster arrows. Logo tape with phrases like ‘pack it on’ was wrapped around the models for an S&M effect while several of the models’ faces were painted in blue, navy, green and yellow. Faux real was also a major theme as seen in sunglasses with ready-made reflections of glamorous locations or the hat with a pair of printed blue eyes on the peak. Jeans and leggings were skin tight while hooded tops were left open to reveal significant chest cleavage.
