Opening Ceremony's 72 hour Marathon

The Beijing Olympics opening ceremony was celebrated by the aptly named boutique in New York with a shopathon.

In celebration of this year’s Beijing Olympics, groundbreaking New York boutique, Opening Ceremony launched a 72 hour marathon that lasted the entirety of the opening weekend. A pop-up shop, Souvenir was set up inside, selling Opening Ceremony’s exclusive collaboration with Nike Sportswear, and limited edition goodies from the likes of Philip Crangi, MIA and Fallon. Co-owners Humberto Leon and Carol Lim celebrated their love of the Games in their own unique way with a breathtaking itinerary which included all night scrabble and karaoke sessions, a DJ set from Hercules and Love Affair, and more sports-related events like a performance from a cheerleading squad and Crangi’s Ping Pong tournament, attracting in the process,  Downtown luminaries like Terence Koh and Santogold.
