“A return to sophisticated minimalism” is how Allesandro Dell’Acqua described his latest collection for Brioni. The show featured multiple takes on the label’s signature tailored jacket, which was juxtaposed with long silk skirts and pleated slouchy trousers. Shades of white, camel and dove grey dominated the collection, but there were also accents of red and coral that added quirkiness to the minimal style. Contrasts appeared also within the cuts and textures – it started with a swishy lace A-line skirt and finished with tailored silk shorts and a double-wool dinner jacket.
