The British brand launch their new sunglasses collection based on 50s and 60s frames
This Spring/Summer '10, Prism introduces their new unisex sunglasses line to complement their current optical eyewear range. Designed by creative director Anna Laub, the sunglasses styles come in shapes and colours carried over from the optical range, with black or brown graded tinted lenses. All lenses are produced using traditional techniques with modern aesthetics and the frames are carved from blocks of acetate and finished by hand in the traditional method at a family-run factory in the North East of Italy. The inspiration for the line varies from 1950s and 60s vintage frames, to the clean lines of Mexico City’s Bauhaus architecture. Available in limited numbers, the collection will be special editions, in a combination of colours and modern styles via traditional techniques.
