It looked like they were turned inside out to show the inner workings of a garment. And if that’s how Lins treats his stitching and seams, then his clothes are happy puppies. Using toile material for a jacket, shirtfront and scarf, he brought out a collection showing craftsmanship. Certain jackets had a camouflage pattern made out of stitched-on leather patches, while collarless garments – jackets, shirts and coats – dominated the torso silhouette. Rolls of yarn had cleverly been made into necklaces, but also the colour choice was noted. Except for lots of whites and blues, Lins went for the eye-catching shades of green and yellow. That energy injection gave the show the little extra push it needed to mark itself out on the busy Paris Menswear schedule. Escape the algorithm!
