In CopenhagenWhere are you from? An island in Denmark called FynWhy did you become interested in fashion?Because it’s always changingTell us about your current collection? The main inspiration for the collection is the book 'Skins' by Gavin Watson: “… This (…) is a celebration of youth. A glimpse at the lives of normal kids who are dismissed as nobodies before they leave school and then disappear into the mainstream of modern existence…” The beauty and fragility of youth and live itself led us to look at the embalming ceremony of the ancient Egyptians. The wrapping of their heroes and beloved has been our starting point for surface and technique. It is clean and still decorative. The colours are shades of beige and light, which refers to mummies and the innocence of youth. Black and dark tones of earthy colours appear as a natural contrast. The structures and fabrics you use seem to be quite unusual, why did you choose to use them and how did you find them?Sometimes we find it interesting to work with materials developed for another purpose than clothing and use them in an unexpected way. The shoe lace idea is from Anne Sofie´ Master Collection “Tiki-Maniam-Maori” and the black bricks and the shredded porcelain is hand made by us.Where do you seek your inspiration? In the contrasts and borders between the primitive and civilized, exotic and classic, barbaric and elegant, futuristic and historic, good and evil…Who are your favourite designers and why?Alix Gres – draping and timelessness., Jeanne Lanvin and femininity - embellishment, Yves Saint Laurent – magic and innovation and Pierre Cardin – menswear and futuristic approach. What makes you happy?
