For 2010, Swedish-based Aplace chose four contemporary artists to make a limited edition scarf, available in only 25 copies. The idea was that this encounter between artist and a new medium they were not accustomed to will allow for something special. The project itself is a continuation of the Aplace earlier project My Studio, which featured patterns and images from artists such as Terence Koh / Mattew Stone and Bruce LaBruce, Ann-Sofie Back and Patrik Söderstam.

The first of the four artists involved will be Finnish painter Anna Touri, known for her work with oil in thin layers. After an education at the Konstakademin in Helsinki and L’Ecole Nationale in Paris, she produced eerie, desolate landscapes, lost humanlike creatures and animals living in trees – giving a dreamlike, poetic quality to her art. She has participated in several prestigious exhibitions like Carnegie Art Award, The Third Beijing Art Biennial and Prague Biennale 2.

Dedicated to progressive Scandinavian fashion, Aplace is located in the former department store 'PUB', an established institution in Stockholm which went through a total renovation three years ago, showcasing brands like Our Legacy, Hope, Pour, Nakkna, The Local Firm, Carin Wester, Rodebjer, Soulland, Uniforms for the Dedicated, Minimarket and Henrik Vibskov from next season.
