Thomas Engel Hart's new A/W '10 collection plays with punk aesthetics..
- Text by Dazed Digital
Thomas Engel Hart have strived to stick to their credo of designing cutting edge menswear, experimenting with new cuts and fabrics. This A/W '10 season, Native American detailing and fabric stories are paired with punk
influences - with references to a desert wasteland, using technicolor visions of sportswear and jeans wear. The pieces are manufactured entirely in France by a small team who hand finish and treat the pieces to produce a warm and human product. The fabrics are light, natural, and understatedly luxurious whilst the jeans are whitened, ripped, and show contrasting fabrics beneath. The fine shirtings are made of over dyed Japanese cottons, where the cuts are novel and flattering. The sportswear remains shaped, using black washed cottons. Available now from Dover Street Market
