Fashion / ShowDolce & Gabbana - S/S 08Take a close-up look at some of our favourite items from Dolce & Gabanna's Spring/Summer 08 collectionShareLink copied ✔️October 2, 2007FashionShowText Katie Shillingford Spot on with Spring/Summer's trend for the Romantic and soft, Dolce & Gabbana wowed us with a beautiful hand painted collection. The show began with a series of blank canvases and as it went on things got more colourful ending with a finale that saw a battle of the ball gowns. Some styles had been methodically painted with flowers and some splattered and splashed haphazardly with colours and covered with a layer of tulle. Other key points were heavy (Mary Poppins' carpet-bag-like) fabric mixed with florals; the collection was unusually eclectic for Dolce & Gabbana and saw an exciting new direction for the Italian duo. Colour palettes are uninhibited but brilliantly fit within the fashion landscape of S/S 08 and the shoes and bags are a multicoloured treat.Click here to view more of our favourite items from Dolce & Gabbana's S/S 08 collection Escape the algorithm!
