With both parents firmly established in the fashion business, his calling in fashion design was always decided. Lourenco's first collection in Paris, was meant to demonstrate his aesthetic that resulted in nude and black PVC body conscious dresses adorned with chains or structured with layered strips of leather in the front constructed into horizontal slats. "I wanted to have a very strong collection with organic colours and graphic shapes. A very important part of my signature is the way I work with construction by using decoration and I have this sort of Vionnet-type philosophy as I don't use decoration for decoration's sake," explains Lourenco who seemed completely self-assured for the challenge ahead of him as a new name on the Paris fashion week schedule.Visit our Entire Paris Fashion Week coverage » Escape the algorithm!
