‘Big City Lights’ creates a city uniform for the contemporary woman and calls to mind notions of time, rhythm and urbanity. Silhouettes are created through the use of heavy wools and furs and the architectural origami folds on shoulders and sleeves have a futuristic element. A plume of burgundy ostrich feathers are caged by a triple strapped bondage belt, which softens the predominantly strong, empowering look, along with a ribbon element that is noticeable on the Turkish delight pink dress with matching design-helmet. This is lead throughout the collection at first by print and then finally, influencing silhouettes, softening sharp lines with folds that drape the body. A winter palette of burgundy and chocolate brown gives warmth to the collections and shades of blue and fuchsia highlight the pieces subtly.
