You can always expect a Frankie Morello to take a theme to great conviction and this time round, it was black. Perhaps it was a meant to be a humorous take on the hard-edged and high-octane trends that phases of Balmania have resulted in but this translated into serious clothes where it looked like high and sharp shoulders, boyfriend jackets, crystal embellishments, rock tees and body con dresses were purposely referenced. When elements like a "This Shirt is Not Black" tee came out, Morello's tongue in cheek sentiment came out. Ultimately though, black is back for Morello and you can take your pick from the different guises it came in.
