Topman Design Menswear A/W10

For the first time this season, Topman Design showed not part of the MAN group show but as a standalone show and like their sister label Topshop Unique, they showed why they deserved that place with an articulate and clearcut statement on the military and outdoors-inspired trends that have been circulating on the runway (both at mens and womens fashion weeks). There were plenty of takes on the officer jackets and classic parkas that were then paired with a loose trouser in military green and khaki. Other strong points of outerwear included padded bomber jackets with leather sleeves as well as furry bombers. Tailored shirts added interest with patterns derived from tree branches and cloud formations integrated with colour gradiation, jumping out from the cloaked figures in khaki and black.
