Sunday's London fashion week highlight was the much anticipated Gareth Pugh Show. His last collection left many people wondering where he can go next and how can he evolve. The result is a more wearable collection, that retains the excitement and ingenuity of his previous work but is beginning to show sign of commercial potentiality. Black fur, chunky knits and fringed leather reigned as staple details, and high leather bound pony tails, ruched leather hoods and spike studded boots conjured up the sense S&M that is so synonymous in Pughs work.
This collection has shown that Pugh is capable of creating a more wearable collection of separate pieces without comprising his aesthic.
