Converse has produced a pair of Chuck Taylor All Star specialty hi-tops, inspired by The Clash

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of the Clash's ‘London Calling’ album, Converse has produced a pair of Chuck Taylor All Star specialty hi-tops in white leather inspired by the iconic band. They go on sale 30 years to the day after the album was launched (14th December 1979) to critical acclaim - declared the best album of the 1980s by Rolling Stone magazine.

The sole of the shoes carry the words ‘London’ and ‘Calling’ in the green and pink used on the original album cover. Each shoe is embroidered with the release date of the album and the black tongue carries the names of each of the band members – Mick Jones, Joe Strummer, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon.
 
Retailing at £74.99, they are available to buy from the 14th December at Converse (33-34 Carnaby Street, London W1) and key stockists nationwide including Office, Size and Schuh.
