Acne celebrates the classic shape of the biker jacket with their new capsule collection this season, developing eight styles in homage to the iconic garment. By playing with textures and different finishes, including the 'Gold Biker Jacket', each piece is created to showcase a distinct signature.
 
In a nod to aviation chic, a shrunken pilot style with a sheep skin collar is finished in creased lambs leather and offered in a choice of brown or black, whilst the architecturally angular cut of 'Brutal' is a bold statement, with an antique cracked leather outer shell. The softened leather of 'Smith' in blush salmon and black is in a looser fit for a masculine twist with bronze buttons and riveting to add an edge. Gold accents in treated wax are used on the 'Rita', harking back to the rock 'n' roll era.

Acne’s Creative Director Jonny Johansson says of the collection: “The biker jacket is such a classic, iconic piece that we seem to always work with. It’s so related to jeans and, as you know, we love jeans. How could we not love the biker jacket? This season’s inspiration for the women’s collection comes from an imagined eccentric gallery owner in Berlin. She lets art in to her wardrobe by letting one of her young artist protégés paint all over her old favorite jacket in cracked leather, as if it was a canvas.”
